Goodbye 2019 Hello 2020

This post is long overdue since we are well into the last day of March by now. Then again it’s better late than never. Especially in this turbulent time when Covid-19 pandemic is wreaking havoc everywhere on earth. Since we have been ordered to stay home under the movement control order in Malaysia, we have plenty of time reflecting and reminiscing about the past…

The start of the new decade marked my first year being a married couple. Last year, Big Teddy and I made the commitment to get married and bought a new place together. Those were life-changing decisions and we both felt that they were the right thing to do after being together for 5 years.

We had a lovely and intimate wedding reception in March (more details click here), followed by an amazing honeymoon at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort in April. We also had a 2nd wedding reception in the UK with a traditional church blessing ceremony and an English pub garden barbeque on a rare sunny day in the quintessential English countryside.

Soon after we started looking for new property and made the plunge in July in the neighbourhood we both love. When we got the keys in October, we wasted no time to start with some minor renovations and furniture shopping. By early December, we were ready to move in just in time for Christmas celebrations.

Home Sweet Home

Happy times pass so quickly that we were glad that our time in 2019 had ended on a high. A lot of new things to look forward to in 2020, although the coronavirus pandemic has thrown some uncertainties into the mix. We shall remain optimistic and hoping it will be a temporary blip, with lives return to normal soon. Let’s pray for the best and do our part to make this earth a healthy place again!
