The Uma Balinese Restaurant has been around for sometime now but I only got to try their food recently when we sent our cute little toy poodle, Bobo for grooming nearby in Kota Damansara. The restaurant was quiet when we got there for lunch on a Saturday noon with only another table was occupied throughout our meal there. The menu was simple, just pick a main dish out of the 16 choices to pair it with the Balinese Nasi Campur individual serving set which is know as Nasi Ratus. There is also the 4 person set known as Paket 4 Orang which has more variety of choices for sampling. 

I went for the Grilled Pork Ribs set (RM27++) which is the best recommendation on most other blogs. My sister went for the Crispy Fried Duck Set (RM26++) instead since she always has a thing for duck. The food took a while to be served but it was worth the wait. The portion was generous  My Grilled Pork Ribs was absolutely delicious with their special thick herbs marination. It kinda reminded me of Naughty Nuri’s Warung and Grill in Ubud, Bali, which serves very good pork ribs too. My sister’s Crispy Fried Duck was good too although it’s a bit on the dry side to my liking. I think I’d just keep coming back for their pork dishes from now on. Their portion was big and generous which kinda justified the slightly expensive price range. We also tried their teh serai (RM4++) and jus markisa/Passion Fruit juice (RM7++) which were quite unique. For those who wanna skip sugary drinks, the restaurant serves drinking water for free. 

Overall, it was a very good meal and we enjoyed it very much. I was glad that I’d finally tried this restaurant which I totally should have done it earlier… But fear not I’m sure I will come back soon enough to try the other dishes~!
