Ho Chi Minh 118 – Cuc Gach Quan Restaurant

Last night in Ho Chi Minh, Brian took us to Cuc Gach Quan Restaurant. I wasn’t feeling all too well and had been having diarrhoea the whole afternoon but still forced myself to go out. It was raining and the restaurant was quite full when we got there and we had to wait a while for a table. The place was nice, ambiance was pleasant with a touch of antique and wood all over the restaurant. We ordered quite a few dishes, Brian said this place serves quite typical home cooked Vietnamese cuisines. However, I wasn’t paying much attention for the food as my stomach was just not feeling too well and all I could think of is to go back to hotel and lie down. For VND595,000 (about RM90) it was quite a decent meal for three. Unfortunately my stomach was acting out and eventually I puked on the street of Saigon later after dinner. Such a horrible feeling to fall sick when one is travelling and it was the first time I ever fell sick on a trip overseas. Thank goodness we had friend in Ho Chi Minh and Brian helped to buy some medicine. I was feeling better the day after and ready to go home finally…
