My China Visa Application

Last Thursday I took half day leave to settle my China visa at the consular office of China Embassy located at 1st Floor of Plaza OSK. I sent my car for service in the early morning so I gotta take the LRT to Ampang Park. It has been a long time since I last taken a LRT ever since I got my own car. It was half an hour journey from Kelana Jaya to Ampang Park. The worst part of this journey was the weather. It was raining cats & dogs and I was all wet by the time I got to Plaza OSK. The queue for the visa application was surprising short. I was the 3rd in the queue and within 15 minutes I had got my visa application approved and ready to be collected on the following Tuesday. Perhaps the rainy weather made the people lazier to come out for visa application. The officer didn’t ask much questions, just confirmed my purpose of visit was for family visit and that my sister has a valid working visa & residence permit in Beijing. My other friend was not as lucky as he was being asked to submit his itinerary, hotel booking confirmation and letter of invitation from his friend. Gee, for sightseeing purpose also they asked so many questions. Well, China is on top of the world now with so many things inclusive of the Olympic 2008 going on, that’s why China has all the power to be difficult and demanding. So was the US sometime back but that was already a thing in the past.
